
LB plates (Luria-Bertani agar plates)a nutrient-rich broth that supports bacterial growth (especially E. coli). when solidified with agar, it’s called an LB agar plate. often supplemented with antibiotics like ampicillin, kanamycin, or chloramphenicol to select for transformed bacteria.its main uses are in : bacterial culture growth , selection of transformed cells , screening for recombinant clones , maintenance of plasmids, protein expression setup.
- in a flask add 100 ml distal water.
- add 2.5 g LB.
- add 1.5 g Agarose.
- cover with aluminum foil and swirl the flask.
- put in the autoclave.
- after its done, wait for it to cool a bet .
- next, add your antibiotic 100 ul
- pure to plates about 25ml for plate inside biosafety cabinat.
- let cool for 30 min

- it can be saved in 4 Cْ for no more then 3 months.
